How to calculate the volume of a sheet of water? How to choose a suitable pump? Do you want to make a water slide but you don't know the pump that must be provided according to the width of this water slide? It is important to take a few parameters into account to make your project a success.
Often, if you do not correctly calculate the correct flow rate of the pump according to the water height and the width, you may end up with a water gap, see below.
To avoid the water slide as on your left above, you have to do a little calculation or follow the information recommended by the manufacturers. Below you will find a simple calculator from OASE.
The higher the water level and the "wider" it will be, the more powerful the pump will be needed. If you choose a pump that is too weak for your water blade, the blade will be broken and less pretty.
How to calculate the pump suitable for my water slide?
In the table below, the flow is expressed in M³/H at the top of the cascade. If I have a waterfall 0.5M high (height between the waterfall and the water level, and this blade is 0.5M), I suddenly need 5.4M³/H.
Would you like to purchase an OASE water slide? Here is a small summary table. The stainless steel water slides of different sizes and widths can be easily installed in the basins and provide a modern touch.
Even without a visible water surface, stainless steel water blades placed in an attractive container or fed from a water tank provide a modern touch. The Waterfall XL 30/60/90 models are easily installed on a wall. Economical LED lighting can be installed at any time in all stainless steel water slides.
