How to measure water hardness? Discover our kits to quickly analyze water hardness. We offer you a kit with drop reagents that allow you to precisely analyze the hardness contained in water (GH & KH).
Here is a video to measure the KH+. The carbonate hardness or KH is an essential element for the pond. This is also called partial hardness. The carbonate appears by binding free carbon dioxide (CO2) to calcium and/or magnesium. This is a source of carbon dioxide (CO2) for aquatic plants and algae.
KH+ increases the limestone or carbonate hardness of the water. An optimal KH is between 8 and 12°A. Rainwater lowers the KH. A value that is too low is detrimental to filtration and to the development of plants and fish.
Here is a video measuring the GH+. NEO GH+ increases the total hardness of water (mineral salts). An optimal GH is between 10 and 20°A or more. Rainwater lowers GH. A value that is too low is harmful to filtration and to the development of plants and fish. Check the GH regularly, especially after heavy rains and during dry spells. Correct if necessary.
Due to its composition, GH+ promotes filtration, mineralization of mud and clarification of water. Contains a mineral extract naturally rich in trace elements.
Instructions for use: GH+: 25 gr / 1 m³ increases the GH by 1 to 2 degrees (indicative dosage to be adapted to the circumstances).
