Clear and healthy water

Poor lighting conditions, excess fertilizer or nutrients can negatively affect aquarium water and promote algae. Floating algae cause green turbidity, bacteria whitish turbidity. The JBL water sterilizer eliminates turbidity caused by bacteria and floating algae.

Aquarium water passes through the UV-resistant sterilizer housing. UV-C radiation kills bacteria, other pathogenic germs and floating algae in the flowing water. The efficiency of this UV-C sterilizer is very high because the glass envelope is surrounded by a polished stainless steel reflective film which reflects the UV-C rays and therefore doubles its efficiency. It can also have this positive effect for the elimination of fixed algae, for example thread algae, since their spores are also largely destroyed.

No harmful side effects

No change in water parameters, no negative impact on important cleaning bacteria in the filter.

Connect the water sterilizer to the external filter or to a separate water pump. Can be installed in any position with the supplied 90° elbow.

The JBL UV-C sterilizer is TÜV tested and has a circuit breaker that automatically disconnects the device as soon as it is opened. The housing is UV resistant, its walls are robust and it has a led lamp indicating if the UV-C lamp is working.

Difference from the previous model JBL ProCristal UV-C Compact: the operating indicator lamp is now mounted on the flat side of the electrical unit and the microswitch to automatically disconnect the lamp when the housing is opened (plug not disconnected ) has been replaced by a magnetic circuit breaker. Therefore, the electric units of the old models (Compact) ARE NOT compatible with the new ones (Compact Plus) and vice versa.
