Ceramic filtration media

For multi-chamber filters or trickle filters.

• Easy to use and maintain.
• Inert ceramic: no leaching.
• Extremely efficient biological filtration: its highly porous shape provides a very large surface area for bacterial colonization (500,000 to 600,000 m²/m³) and significantly higher efficiency than conventional filter media.
• Does not clog: no more problems with clogged filtration chambers (can be completely cleaned by backwashing, draining the chamber, or using a water jet).
• Easy to handle and transport to the site.

Optimized for use in Shark filters: flow rate of 0.01 to 0.03 m/s, rinsing and air-wash purging always provided, optimized hyper-oxygenation of the filters, and optimized mechanical pre-filtration. Can also be used in multi-chamber filters and trickle filters. In both cases, random placement of the media is recommended to promote good water circulation.
