JBL ProPond Sterlet - 3L/1.65kg - Four-season food for sturgeons and sterlets in ponds

• Composition specifically adapted for sturgeons, which search for their prey at the bottom of the water (water temperature from 10 to 25 °C)
• Complete feed with a protein/fat ratio of 3/1. Sturgeons prefer to feed at the bottom of the water, where they detect their food with their tactile organs. The composition is tailored to this species-specific diet
• Contains salmon, shrimp, tubifex, green-lipped mussels, spirulina, and gammarus for a natural diet for sturgeons
• Sinking pellet feed in pearl shape containing 34% protein, 10% fat, 2% crude fiber, and 8% crude ash. No colorants or preservatives
• Pellet feed in resealable bag/box, airtight, waterproof, and lightproof to preserve quality. The single-material bag/box can be fully recycled without sorting

Sturgeons are very special fish: the shape of their body already indicates their lifestyle: they swim near the bottom and use their tactile barbels (chemosensory organ) to search for small invertebrates they feed on in nature. JBL PROPOND STERLET has been adapted to these feeding habits in its composition (increased proportion of invertebrates) and its ability to sink in water. Even though sturgeons learn to feed at the water surface, this feeding method goes against their natural behavior and carries the risk of excessive air ingestion. Sturgeons should always be fed with their own special feed because this food has a different composition and also because sturgeons could unintentionally injure the mucous membrane of koi carp with their bony plates while competing for food. In practice, you can feed your goldfish and koi carp at the surface in one corner of the pond and give the sinking feed to the sturgeons in another corner.
