Kapok Half-Moon Zafu - Lavender

This zafu is handcrafted with extra strong cotton fabric, triple stitching and a white band to write your name. Made in Spain with conscience, it has an extended 10-year warranty.

A quality meditation cushion is a safe investment to always be comfortable and relaxed during your hours of meditation. The zafu allows you to adopt an impeccable posture, and therefore to take care of both your mind and your body. By raising the pelvis, you keep yourself straight, your spine is straightened and you are not in tension. The zafu may seem a little hard at first, but as you use it, it will quickly adapt to have the right firmness. The half moon shape is recommended for people who sit in the Burmese posture.

Kapok is the traditional filling for zafus in Japan: it makes it easy to meditate for long periods of time. The microfiber that constitutes it is hollow like a bamboo and covered with a greasy substance; for these reasons, kapok is lighter than cotton, nearly waterproof, and pest-free.

The kapok zafu can settle after prolonged use: place it in the sun so that it regains its original shape. One of the pleats is not sewn, which will allow you to fill it again if you wish. To clean your zafu, brush the fabric or use the vacuum cleaner. Stains can be removed by rubbing it with a damp cloth.
