Bloodstone - Courage
This is a variety of chalcedony with shades ranging from bluish green to dark green. It gets its name from the reddish-brown spots it displays. Highly sought after in Antiquity, it was considered a magical talisman that brought strength, vitality, and courage.
Prayer beads: “in the present moment, my mind becomes calm.”
The word “mala” in Sanskrit means garland of roses. Also called a prayer bead necklace or rosary, it originated in India, where it was used in Hinduism and Buddhism. It later spread to Islam and then Christianity during the Crusades. The mala is used to count pious words or recite mantras. Mantra meditation consists of repeating words or syllables that generate a specific vibration. Place the mala in your hand and take one bead between your fingers. Each time you recite a new word or mantra, move on to the next bead. This is an effective way to keep yourself in the present moment and calm your mind.
Complete malas have 108 beads, corresponding to the 108 passions of man. Mala bracelets generally have 24 beads or another number that is usually a multiple of 3. They can be worn as personal accessories or jewelry, thereby expressing our personality and character. In all traditions, they have a magical and protective aura.
Note: bloodstone is a natural stone with an infinite range of shades, from jade green to brown. It may differ from the one shown in the photo.
