The Dharma Bell is made in Japan, where it is used at the beginning and end of meditations. It is used in the same way as the keizu bell, by giving a light blow of the mallet on the edge. — At home, its clear, crystalline sound is an invitation to practice mindfulness, calm the emotions and soothe the mind. — According to Thich Nhat Hanh, a world-renowned Vietnamese monk, “we all have tranquility, peace and joy within us, but we have to invoke them for them to manifest. Listening to the sound of the bell is a way to invoke the joy and tranquility within us. (...) I hold the bell in the palm of my hand and breathe. I breathe in and calm down. I exhale and I smile”.
