Native Americans burned dried plants to purify not only their physical and emotional bodies but also objects and places. This ritual is a universal practice. It is said to promote mental clarity, tranquility and joy.

Palo Santo

Derived from the South American tree Bursera graveolens, palo santo wood is used as an incense to purify and cleanse the atmosphere. Our palo santo comes from fallen trees and complies with current regulations in Peru (the wood of the Bursera graveolens tree is not classified CITES).

California White Sage

"What can a man die of if he has sage in his garden?" This sentence taken from a treatise of the School of Medicine of Salerno (12th-13th century) says a lot about this medicinal plant.

Its scientific name comes from the Latin salvare - to heal. It grows wild in the Southwestern United States, mainly in California and in Northwestern Mexico.

Most of its properties are found in the leaves, which absorb the sun's energy and produce a large amount of essential oils that aromatize the plant. They give off a pleasant scent that provides a feeling of well-being. Our sage comes from 100% natural crops, without fertilizers or pesticides.

Abalone shell (or sea ear)

It is considered a ceremonial object and serves as a bowl for making fumigations. The inner part in mother-of-pearl has beautiful iridescent reflections. It is said to bring a feeling of protection, purity and balance.

Using an abalone shell during a smudging ritual is invoking the divine force of fire and the spirit of the ocean to perform an energetic purification.

Instructions for use

- Put some marble sand at the bottom of the shell.

- Using a match, light the sage stick or palo santo above the shell. Light the flame slightly, then let it go out. Be careful of the remaining leaves that could fly away!

- For places: go through each room and disperse the smoke with the feather towards the places you wish to purify.

- For people: guide the smoke using the feather towards the parts of the body to be purified, the head, arms, legs, back, etc.

Remember that intention is the basis of any smudging ritual: if your heart is pure and your purpose noble, the effect will be enhanced.

Ventilate well after use. Do not inhale smoke directly.
