Corten steel, also called weather resistant steel, is a metal alloy made of iron, to which copper, silicon, nickel and chromium have been added. Corten steel is a type of strong steel that has the property of being covered with a protective layer of rust when exposed to the outside air. This layer of natural solid rust is the protection against further corrosion. Corten steel is characterized by its orange-brown rust color and longevity.

Important:
- The products are delivered unoxidized
- Ensure good drainage (holes in the standard version of the planter). No excess water should remain in the planter, otherwise the material may eventually rust due to the combination of oxygen and soil.
- Do not use hydro grains which can retain moisture
- Products should be unpacked immediately after delivery, so that any moisture between the packaging and the product is not trapped. This can cause rust and uneven spots.

Planting Tips:
- The bottom with a layer of Ø35 mm sorting pebbles
- Do not use an overflow pipe (no water should remain in the corten planter)
- For this a water-permeable anti-root cloth is desirable
- Recommended soil suitable for this type of planting
