Round duck nesting box - Nesting box for mallards

This duck nest box is a safe nesting place and perfect shelter for mallards, wild ducks and moorhens. Place the basket early in the year, as ducks start building their nests from February.

Place the basket between three or four long, sturdy poles in the water, at a maximum height of 1 metre above the water surface. The nest box can also be placed at the water's edge, in dense vegetation.

Mallards breed from March to June and typically lay 7 to 11 eggs. Ducklings are precocious birds and leave the nest on the first day. Clean the duck basket after the breeding season.
