Quality and tradition
This cast iron coaster was made in Morioka, Japan by the Iwachu family business. This is an elegant and practical addition to your Japanese teapot.

A decoration inspired by nature
The upper part of the teapot coaster is decorated with the classic Japanese Arare pattern. The delicately ordered dots evoke hail, Arare in Japanese, which sometimes accompanies the transition from winter to spring during the March showers.

Each Iwachu coaster is made using an artisanal process:
- The mold is prepared by hand.
- Liquid cast iron is poured into the mould.
- When cold, the mold is broken to extract the part.
- All edges are filed.
- The surface is painted.
- After the paint dries, the teapot coaster is carefully wrapped.
Iwachu has been making cast iron objects for over 100 years. When you buy a teapot or its complements, make sure it bears the Made in Japan logo; it is a guarantee of quality.
