sera siporax mini Professional has been specially developed for small aquariums up to a volume of 100 litres. It allows the maximization of the surface for the colonization by cleaning bacteria having, at the same time, a compact shape. This enables biological filtration even when using small filter units. Water parameters are permanently stabilized and maintenance work is reduced.

In nature, filtration and degradation processes play a fundamental role. Organic waste is processed by microorganisms so that it is available again in the natural cycle as nutrients for aquatic plants – harmful substances such as ammonium, nitrites and nitrates are eliminated. Since the amount of waste generated in nature is small compared to the amount of water, the bottom surface is sufficient to harbor a sufficient amount of microorganisms.
However, in an aquarium there is a small biotope in a small space. In order to ensure complete and safe decomposition of organic waste, it is therefore necessary to maximize the colonization surface.

Unlike other filter rings on the market, sera siporax consists of sintered glass. The unique material convinces with its special three-dimensional pore structure. This maximizes the surface area. At the same time, the fine pores create ideal conditions for colonization by bacteria breaking down harmful substances. Since it is an interconnected system, the water circulates around the bacteria permanently, so that the latter can break down harmful substances with maximum efficiency. Furthermore, the unique pore structure allows self-cleaning of the substrate and therefore very long intervals for filter maintenance.
In combination with specialized bacteria, sera siporax also enables a variety of special applications, such as algae prevention or targeted water conditioning.
