1 liter of sera siporax pond provides bacteria with as much colonization surface as, for example, 34 liters of clay filter media. Use sera biofibres coarse as a pre-filter material to prevent coarse dirt caused by suspended matter.

sera siporax pond offers bacteria a huge number of open-pore, tunnel-shaped structures, which allows them to benefit from an ideal supply of nutrients with low amounts of fresh water. Inside the tunnels, conditions with low oxygen content prevail, which encourages the bacteria to break down nitrates to obtain enough oxygen. Thus, they continuously break down nitrates and the pond water remains low in nitrates.

1 liter of sera siporax pond has the same biological breakdown capacity as approximately 34 liters of clay filter material.
