UltraSieve prefilters feature a stainless steel filter element that never needs to be replaced. Thanks to the triangular stainless steel rods at a 7° angle, the water passes directly through the sieve but the dirt is trapped. A big advantage of this principle is that dirt is actually removed from the water circulation. This has a great influence on the quality of the water because waste is no longer released into it.
Operation The pool water flows over the removable wall, which communicates with a float so that the height of the latter is automatically adjusted. This level adjustment therefore ensures that the exact amount of water that is pumped out also enters the device again. In a grid filter, pond water is routed through a curved screen downstream of the removable wall. The grid consists of hundreds of triangular rods spaced 0.2 or 0.3 mm (200 or 300 microns) apart. The rods are slightly angled so that the coarse waste is trapped and the "sifted" water continues on its way. The screened water is then directed to the main filter.
