AquaForte Prime UltraBead filter UB140 - Up to 200M³

Functioning

Bead filters are closed (pressurized) containers filled with thousands of plastic granules (beads). Since these granules float, they provide mechanical filtration and, given their large adhesion surface, also biological filtration.

• Mechanical Filtration: the granules float in a closed container and are therefore strongly grouped together. Water is forced into it through the pressure of the pump, causing dirt particles to be trapped by these granules. As the filter is used, the biological film (a sticky layer) around the granules thickens, which makes it possible to trap increasingly fine dirt (10 microns).
• Biological filtration: the plastic granules have an adhesion surface of approximately 1600 m²/m³. The biological film around the granules therefore offers the bacteria a gigantic surface area to break down ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Technical characteristics • The filters are delivered with beads included.
• All models are equipped as standard with the completely renewed valve construction with standard bypass.
• The new UltraBead filters are made from an indestructible thermoplastic using the world's most reliable injection molding and casting method.
• In addition, the UB140 is fitted with Ø75 mm piping for even lower resistance.
• The fish content in the table is based on 1% feed per day.
• Recommended pump capacity: For a water column of 2 - 3 meters (0.2 - 0.3 bar), the pump should be able to pump half of the actual pond contents per hour (see graph of the pump in question ).
• For Koi ponds of 40 m³ or more, consider pumping the contents of the pond in 3 to 4 hours.
• CAUTION: Maximum working pressure is 2.5 bar (25 meters).
