The 40–75 W Type D electrical section is a replacement component intended to power and operate compatible UV-C lamps. This part is used in certain UV-C installations for ponds and lakes.

The Type D range includes, in particular, a 40 W Type D ballast section (SB370) and a 75 W Type D ballast section (SB371).
