The JBL PROPOND ALL SEASONS range lets you choose between sticks, pellets, or flakes. The composition is very similar for all three types of food. So it’s up to you to choose the type of food you prefer.

When feeding with an automatic feeder (JBL PROPOND AUTOFOOD), it is not possible to feed fish with flakes because flakes tend to clump more easily in the presence of some moisture and, due to their shape, would arrive in varying amounts in the discharge chute. The property “optimized natural energy feeding” refers to the protein and fat ratio in the food. If only the season were considered, fish would need half as much protein in winter (2/1) as in summer (4/1). However, it’s not just the season with water temperature but also the size and age of the fish, as well as the function of the food (e.g., growth food), that play a decisive role. All these factors were taken into account in the development of JBL food.
