Satellite Skimmer Basic Set - Wall Skimmer - Pondtechnics

Product information

This wall-mounted skimmer model is ideal for almost invisible positioning underneath the paving slabs. If you wish to use this skimmer without an extension, you must order a smaller skimmer flap (see options).

With skimmers, you can remove up to 85% of surface dirt before it decomposes. Skimmer therefore means: avoiding pollution.

OPERATION

• Skimmers remove dirt particles that float on the water surface before they sink and pollute the pond.
• The upper part of floating skimmers floats on the water surface. In the case of wall-mounted models, there is a flap that floats against the water surface.
• Through the action of the connected pump, a thin film of water is drawn in. This creates a current of water in the direction of the skimmer.
• Large particles, such as leaves and grass, are intercepted by the retention basket. It must be emptied regularly. Smaller particles are directed to the filter to be removed from the water.
• A useful secondary effect is the suction of warm surface water. This keeps the temperature more constant at depth, which is an advantage for the balance of the pond.
