How to repair a pond cover?

How do you repair a pond liner? How can you easily repair a pond liner? The first thing to do is measure the size of the hole and clean the area. Many products and repair kits are available in stores or can be ordered online.

Locate the leak in your pond.

Do you know the type of liner?

Once you have located the leak, you will finally be able to repair the hole. First, degrease the area with a cleaning wash product. Next, you will also need to check whether the liner is made of EPDM or PVC. If your PVC liner is more than ten years old, you may gradually develop leaks throughout your pond. These PVC liners have a lifespan of 10 years.

How do you repair a PVC liner? A leak in a PVC liner is easy to repair. Use a PVC liner repair kit to seal this type of leak. Then, finish with a joint using silicone suitable for liners.

How do you repair an EPDM liner?You will need to use a vulcanization-type process. We offer repair kits for repairing EPDM liners. You will also receive a cleaning wash product for cleaning. After cleaning, apply a primer (QUICKPRIME). It is after this step that you use quicktape.

3. Use a primer such as quickprime
4. Then apply the patch using the roller
5. Next, use silicone

Depending on the type of liner, use a suitable kit.

1. Clean the liner around the leak gently with water. You may also use a soft brush.
2. Next, just like with a bicycle tire, thoroughly degrease the area and apply the patch using the product supplied with a repair kit or a waterproofing sealant (e.g., Innotec).

Then, finish with an INNOTEC-type silicone sealant (water-resistant).
