How do I use Saki-Hikari for my koi?
Saki-Hikari food is most effective when used over a long period. The benefits of Hikari-Germ do not persist once feeding is interrupted for too long a period.
Feed up to 2 or 3 times a day in season, and slow down in autumn. Remember the 5-minute rule: the fish should have consumed all the food within 5 minutes.
What to know when using Saki-Hikari
This Saki-Hikari food contains live microorganisms approved by the FDA/AAFCO. To store it, keep it at room temperature (below 35°C) and away from direct sunlight, high humidity, or excessive temperature changes.
Below approximately 8 to 10°C, significantly reduce or stop feeding. Since the fish are almost in a state of hibernation at this stage, they will live off their stored body fat until spring feedings begin. Never use this food for human consumption :-) It goes without saying, but we prefer to remind you.
