Use Phosphate Remover when starting a new pond. It ensures that high phosphate concentrations are avoided. To successfully remove excess phosphate, Phosphate Remover must also be used regularly in new or existing “mature” ponds. Phosphate Remover is a blend of polymers with special properties, including the ability to bind large quantities of phosphate without affecting the pond water.

Phosphate in the pond comes from the decomposition of organic substances such as leftover food, dead plant matter and excrement. Although phosphate is essential for life, it is harmful at high concentrations. An increase in phosphate concentration can lead to water quality problems. To address problems caused by phosphate, it is recommended to keep the phosphate concentration in fresh water below 0.3 mg per litre.

Application: use 30 ml of Phosphate Remover per 400 litres of water. Depending on the water quality, the amount of organic waste and the number of fish, 30 ml of product can extract between 1 and 1.5 mg of phosphate per litre. If the phosphate level remains high, repeat the dosage. In cases of very high phosphate concentrations, several treatments may be required to resolve the excess phosphate problem. This bottle can treat up to 12,000 litres of pond water.
