It is an aquatic perennial that grows from rhizomes, very hardy. It can be found in shallow water. It is also an oxygenating plant often used in lagoons. It is also called water crowfoot.
It can look like small fir trees emerging from the water. A must-have for a pond well "filtered" by aquatic plants.
