Bio-UV 40 quartz glass – Quartz tube for BIO-UV 40

These premium 316L stainless steel UVC units deliver unrivaled performance at a high flow rate. Thanks in part to the 150 mm diameter chamber, exposure to UVC radiation is guaranteed for at least 2 seconds at the indicated flow rate (see table). 

The use of a special “high-intensity” UVC lamp with an output of 30000 microwatts (25000 at the end of its service life), combined with a minimum exposure time of two seconds, destroys not only microscopic algae but also 99.9% of countless harmful bacteria and viruses such as Aeromanas, Pseudomonas, and Legionella. For these lamps, the pond capacity is generally not taken into account; rather, the actual pump capacity per hour is used.

Bio UV lamps are also used in swimming pools to disinfect water instead of chlorine. Maximum continuous pressure: 3 bar; maximum water temperature: 40°C. 13000 hours of service (performance has also been measured after 13000 hours of service). * Available on request.
