This is an aerator that agitates the entire water surface through large-scale circulation and a mushroom-shaped fountain. This floating aeration system helps reduce algae, enrich the water with oxygen, and limit its eutrophication (siltation, odors, excess nutrients in the water, ...).
Several advantages result from this:
- Significant oxygen supply
- Expulsion of harmful gases
The ripples and oxygen supply created disturb the water surface, thus preventing significant algae growth

The Aquitechnics floating aerators discharge water upwards, like a fountain, creating an attractive water feature. The water is circulated using a propeller. The jet's trajectory angle and its impact on the water surface improve gas exchange with the outside air.
All this promotes a healthy fish population. The expulsion angle was chosen so that waves spread from the aerator, distributing oxygenated water throughout the pond. Oxygen-poor stagnant zones are thus avoided. This water flow away from the device also ensures that the aerator always draws oxygen-poor water from the bottom, circulates it, and enriches it with oxygen. The expulsion angle prevents any short-circuit flow.
There are two types of aerators: with a surface motor and with a submersible motor. Both types are almost identical in terms of performance, oxygen enrichment, and energy consumption. The submersible motor model produces a lower and rather wider water fountain, while the surface motor version produces a taller but narrower fountain.
Only the submersible motor version is suitable for use as winter protection (to reduce ice formation, for example).
The aerators are delivered ready to use and come with a cable and a motor protection device. All protective baskets, fittings, drive shafts, and screws are made from rust-resistant materials.
The high-performance electric motor of this type of aerator is housed, along with its long stainless steel shaft, in a polyethylene casing on the float above the water surface. From the outside, the insulated motor runs quietly, and only the murmur of the stimulated water can be heard.
