Sample and measure before treating a pond

The OASE Sludge and Water Sampling Set INT contains the equipment needed to sample water and sludge, measure depths, and assess the transparency of a body of water. It facilitates the preparation of an assessment, particularly before using treatments from the SchlixX range.

The composition of the sediment helps distinguish organic deposits, which can be treated biologically, from a predominantly mineral bottom. The samples collected can then be analyzed appropriately. The kit is field sampling and measuring equipment; chemical parameters must be determined using tests or additional analyses.

Kit contents

• A sludge sampler with a telescopic rod for working at depths of up to 3 m.
• A sludge sampling capacity of up to 0.50 m in length.
• A telescopic measuring rail for measuring water depth and sludge depth up to 5 m.
• A Secchi disk with measuring tape for determining visibility depth up to 20 m.
• Five containers for water samples and five for sludge samples.
• A carrying bag with strap.

Monitor changes in the body of water

By repeating measurements at the same locations, you have reference points for comparing sludge thickness and transparency throughout the interventions. Visibility depth should be interpreted alongside other observations: suspended matter and algae can both alter the appearance of the water.
