Pool Smart ICA is a chlorine stabilizer (cyanuric acid) that protects active chlorine from the sun's UV rays. Without stabilizer, a significant portion of the chlorine degrades within a few hours of exposure: ICA helps keep the disinfectant active for longer and reduces the frequency of additions.
