Floating plants

Floating plants are great for new ponds, as they directly remove CO2 from the air. They grow fast and are undemanding to water quality. These plants are really excellent at capturing excess phosphates and nitrates in the water. It is a good solution for pools with straight walls. The buoyancy of the plants is ensured by the air-filled leaves whose roots that lie under the water absorb nutrients. Unlike oxygenating plants that grow underwater, the growth of floating plants does not depend on the presence of CO2 in the water.
