How to make beautiful plantations?
- Substrate Preparation: Mix the aquatic soil with the nutrient substrate in a bucket or tub. Make sure to mix the two elements well to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
- Preparing the baskets: Place burlap in the bottom of each planting basket, leaving about 4 inches (10 cm) extra overhanging the sides. The burlap will help hold the substrate and prevent it from leaking out.
- Planting the plants: Plant the plants by species in each basket, taking care to position them correctly. Make sure to respect the recommended distances between the plants to allow them to grow harmoniously.
- Fertilizer: Add one to two fertilizer tablets specifically designed for aquatic plants to each basket. The fertilizer will provide plants with the essential nutrients they need for healthy growth.
- Closing the baskets: Close the burlap around the plants by folding the edges and securing them gently. Make sure the plants are held securely in place and that the substrate does not leak out.
- Adding Additional Substrate: Add an additional layer of substrate on top of each basket to cover the plant roots and provide additional stability.
- Placing Baskets in Pond: Carefully place each planting basket into your pond, arranging them to create an aesthetically pleasing layout. Be sure to submerge the baskets well so that the plants have adequate access to water.
