UltraSieve filters are the most reliable prefilters on the market. This is mainly due to the simple design with only one moving part. The prefilter is not self-cleaning but is very easy to maintain. You open the slide valve and the dirt is flushed out.

UltraSieve prefilters feature a stainless steel filter element that never needs to be replaced. Thanks to the stainless steel triangular rods set at a 7° angle, water passes directly through the screen while dirt is trapped. A major advantage of this principle is that the dirt is truly removed from the water flow. This greatly affects water quality because no debris is released back into it. Operation: Pond water flows over the removable wall, which is connected to a float so that its height is automatically adjusted.

This level adjustment ensures that the exact amount of water being pumped also re-enters the device. In a screen filter, pond water is directed to a curved screen downstream of the removable wall. The screen consists of hundreds of triangular rods spaced 0.2 or 0.3 mm apart (200 or 300 microns). The rods are slightly inclined so that coarse debris is trapped and the "screened" water continues on its way. The screened water is then directed to the main filter.
