Ozone Redox UV-C High Pressure - High pressure ozone reactor

UV-C Redox increases the capacity of the pond filter and enriches the pond water with oxygen, resulting in a healthy environment for Koi and plants.

The Ozone Redox UVC has a special 75 watt T5 UVC lamp that generates both ozone and UVC.

• The lamp produces 600 mg/h of ozone and 25,000 microwatts of UVC radiation.
• It generates ozone for approximately 4000 hours and UVC radiation for 9000 hours.
• The low pressure version is completely mounted on a PE mounting plate and equipped with a pneumatic pump (14 liters per minute) which delivers ozone and a static mixer with two connections which mixes ozone and air with water without noticeable loss of pressure.
• This low pressure version must always be installed downstream of the filter (free return flow). The high pressure version has a venturi and a ball valve instead of a pneumatic pump to mix the ozone with the water.
• Connection dimension: 63 mm.
• The maximum flow is about 20 m³ per hour.

Functioning

For decades, ozone has been used to disinfect drinking water and purify the air. This substance has a strong oxidizing and sterilizing power on all organic materials and destroys unpleasant odors. It is therefore one of the most effective sterilizing agents in water treatment. UV-C radiation and ozone are the perfect combination to make pond water clean, clear and rich in oxygen. Ozone and UV-C radiation kill algae, viruses and bacteria.

The use of ozone is a natural process which is artificially reproduced by UV-C Redox. This device consists of a venturi system and a combined UV-C/Ozone lamp. Air is sucked in and flows past the combi lamp which produces approx. 0.6 grams of ozone. The air thus charged is directed towards the venturi system and mixes there with the water.

After disinfection, the water-ozone mixture flows again along the combined lamp, but in this case with a quartz glass housing as an intermediate partition. The water is exposed to UV-C radiation (UV-C power of 25 watts), which kills virtually all algae, bacteria and viruses. In addition, UV-C radiation completely decomposes any residual ozone that may still be present.
