Anti algae Copper electrolyzer

• Anti-algae Copper Electrolyzer (copper electrolyzer)

An ideal and simple method for combating (filamentous) algae: the Copper Electrolyzer is installed in the pipe system, before the water returns to the pond (or swimming pond). The pond water flows through the Copper Electrolyzer housing, which contains a copper unit called an electrolyzer.

The water flowing through the housing is charged with a small amount of copper released by the unit. These copper ions (Cu²⁺) present in the water have a positive charge and attack the cell walls of algae, bacteria, viruses, and other primitive organisms.

With their cell walls damaged, these organisms can no longer absorb nutrients and are therefore unable to multiply. This process of charging the water positively with copper is called copper electrolysis.

Connection dimensions: 50 mm.

Precautions for use

• Copper (or an excess of copper) can be harmful to fish.
• The unit always deactivates automatically after 2 weeks: test the copper content of the water and, if necessary, reactivate the unit. This makes the risk of excess copper in the water easy to control.
• Do not use in iron-rich water (groundwater, for example).
