What is Aquipond Boost & Clean for?
It is a biological cleaner for ponds and lagoons. It helps loosen accumulated organic matter (leaves, food leftovers, fish waste), brings it up to the surface so it is easy to remove, and prepares the bottom for more effective biological digestion.
Which dosage and pack size should I choose?
The recommended dosage is 25 g per m³ of water (25 g per 1,000 litres). Each size states a volume: 1 kg for 40 m³, 2.5 kg for 100 m³, 5 kg for 200 m³, 10 kg for 400 m³. When should I use it?
In spring after winter, after heavy leaf fall, when the bottom silts up (see our anti-sludge solutions), when the filtration clogs quickly or the walls become slippery, and several times during the season as maintenance, always with water above 15 °C.
How do I apply it and what should I expect?
Check the filtration, test pH, GH and KH, then spread 25 g per m³ over the whole surface with filtration and aeration running. The first debris rises between a few hours and 24 hours: remove it with a fine-mesh net or a surface skimmer. A little foam or temporary cloudiness is normal. Wait at least 15 days between two treatments.
Is it safe for fish and plants?
Aquipond Boost & Clean respects fish, aquatic plants and the natural balance of the pond when used at the recommended dosage. Keep filtration and aeration running during the treatment.
Should I follow up with bacteria?
It is recommended: after the cleaning, Aquipond Bacto Maintenance helps with the natural digestion of residual organic matter. Browse our pond bacteria and follow their recommendations, in particular switching off the UV lamps temporarily.
Is it suitable for lagoons, ponds and natural pools?
