With the high temperatures of summer, it is important that the food can be easily digested and does not remain in the digestive system for long. During food intake, the oxygen demand of a koi carp increases to more than 500 mg per kilo of fish per hour! That is why the composition of the food must be adapted to the warm period, when the oxygen content of the water is lowest due to high temperatures.
