Regeneration salt for zeolite - Reactivates zeolite in 24 hours - Heissner

Well known to aquarium enthusiasts and pond keepers, zeolite is an ion exchanger that can be reactivated several times. Depending on the water load, it eventually becomes saturated: it should be regenerated at the latest when its filtering effect decreases or the nitrite level increases. Use: fill a container large enough for the amount of zeolite to be treated with tap water, add 50 g of regeneration salt per 10 litres of water, then leave the zeolite in this solution for 24 hours. Then rinse it with tap water before putting it back in the pond or filter. The used solution can be used as fertiliser for large conifers or disposed of down the drain; under no circumstances should it be poured into the pond.
