Special feed for koi when temperatures are below 12°C

• rapidly sinking pellets, which can be consumed by koi at the bottom of the pond
• feed suitable for the hibernation of koi
• with a low carbohydrate content, for easy assimilation
• with a high content of highly unsaturated omega fatty acids providing the necessary energy
• rich in vitamins and mannan-oligosaccharides, for a strong immune system and good health

In winter, or when the water temperature is below 12 degrees, koi rarely come to the surface, instead searching for food at the bottom of the pond. This is why it is always advisable to feed the fish sinking food in winter. The metabolism of cold-blooded koi slows down significantly at low temperatures. During this period, the animals therefore require food that is distinguished by high bioavailability.

Koi Professional Winter is a compound feed specifically designed to meet the activity level, foraging behavior, and nutritional needs of koi at low temperatures. The essential highly unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids [eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)] contained in the feed provide energy and protect cell membranes. The vitamins and mannan-oligosaccharides strengthen the immune system. Thanks to its low carbohydrate content, the feed is particularly digestible at low temperatures. It sinks quickly to the bottom while maintaining its shape, so that the fish, which move slowly when it is cold, have enough time to eat without the risk of the pellets disintegrating or becoming depleted. For these reasons, this feed is perfectly suited for feeding when the water temperature is below 12°C.
