It is in autumn, when temperatures begin to drop, that the flow of sap slowly stops in terrestrial plants. This is an ideal time when perennials, shrubs, hedges, trees can be easily planted and moved from place to place.
Thanks to a planting in autumn, your plants will benefit from a better growth at the beginning of the season, be careful to prepare the soil well. Fall is a great time to plant all kinds of perennials, flowering shrubs, shrubs and trees. Since the soil is still warm enough and moist enough, the roots of the plants are more stimulated to develop. Also, your plants will have another three months to prepare for winter.
In the spring, when temperatures rise and sap flow begins, the roots of plants planted in the fall can immediately go in search of the necessary nutrients. These plantings benefit from earlier growth and flowering compared to plants that you plant or replant in cold soil in the spring.
When (de)planting, however, it is important to improve the soil with a sufficient supply of humus, air and nutrients. A soil rich in humus with a good air/water ratio indeed has an airy and crumbly structure in which water and nutrients are better retained and in which your plants take root easily.
