Air filters with convoluted foam

Internal air filters work on the principle of mammoth pumps. An air pump supplies air to the discharge pipe through a hose. The air carries the aquarium water inside upwards, the water flows through the fine filter sponge with an optimal surface and thus cleans the aquarium water mechanically. Nitrifying bacteria, essential for the decomposition of harmful substances, establish themselves inside the optimized sponges.

These filters are ideal for the rearing of larvae and young fish which, due to their small size and the way they swim, would otherwise risk disappearing in normal filters.
