Bacto Gel is composed of living bacteria , and has been specially developed for the priming and maintenance of biological filters by means of the nitrification effect. De Bacto Gel is specially designed for use in filters. The gel formula allows bacteria to better adhere to the filtration agent used in the filter. Bacto Gel significantly shortens filter priming time.

The normal biological filter maturation process is between approximately 6-8 weeks, but Bacto Gel can shorten it to just 2-4 weeks. Bacto Gel is 100% natural, contains no chemicals and is free from pathogenic germs.
