As a result, garden birds are finding it increasingly difficult to find a place to nest. In particular, we are seeing more and more fences and paved terraces, so it is wise to provide additional food for the birds. But in addition to this food supplement, water is also very important for birds.

Nowadays, rainwater is quickly drained into the sewers. Road verges are also increasingly well maintained, leaving few puddles on the surface. This makes it difficult for birds to find water that they can use for bathing and drinking all year round.

Bird baths / Predators can be a great danger to birds, especially when they are innocently bathing. It is a good idea to place bird baths at least two metres away from the surrounding vegetation. This way, the birds have an open field of vision and can quickly take cover if they need to hide from danger. Never place the water in direct sunlight. This is because algae grows very quickly in the sun, the water evaporates quickly and does not stay fresh for as long.
