Pond & Pond Multi-Chamber Filters

Are you looking for a multi-chamber filter? Here is a selection of filters from Aquaworld, Aquatic Science, Superfish, Koi Pro, Filtreco, Pondtechnics, etc. These filtration systems must be well dimensioned in relation to your volume of water. We advise you to seek the advice of a specialist who will enable you to choose the multi-chamber filter suited to your pool.

Pumped or gravity filtration
They can be installed by pumping or gravity with the exception of filters for small ponds which operate only by pumping.

  • Pumping installation

This is the simplest system to implement and therefore the most widespread. A pump submerged in the pool sends the water through a UV sterilizer and then through a "shark" filter where it undergoes a double mechanical and biological filtration. The purified water naturally returns to the basin (via a waterfall, for example). This system can be adapted by using a dry pump allowing surface (skimmer) and bottom (bottom drain) suction, with the significant advantage of more power, and therefore often more economical.

  • Installation in gravity

This technique is less common: the water arrives in the filter by gravity (Gravity Shark) via a skimmer and a bottom drain. A pump sucks it out of the filter to send it back to the pool after passing through a UV sterilizer. The main advantage of this technique lies in the absence of visible pipes or pumps in the basin and the fact that the filter can be placed in a buried technical room. Additional advantage: the return of the pressurized water can be divided as much as directed.

Aquaworld filters provide effective and efficient filtration at a moderate price. In part, thanks to the use of a very good quality Japanese mat, the reputation of Aquaworld filters is second to none. The Japanese filter offers a good compromise effect between mechanical and biological filtration. Aquaworld filters are offered with a single filtration configuration with the exception of EDOUNA 4, 5 and 6 filters which have an Upflow version favoring the use of the Japanese mat.

Shark filters, on the other hand, are less bulky, characterized by a high resistance structure and offering a high bacterial filtration capacity thanks to the Biocerapond substrate and aeration. This substrate has been specially studied to allow a bacterial development clearly superior to other filters (up to 3000 m2 /m3).
