In fact, a classic pot is not ideal for aquatic plants. A closed pot favors the accumulation of sulfur for the plant. In a too "closed pot, aquatic plants tend to blacken and rot. In a closed pot, plants grow from above.
For aquatic plants, we recommend using aquatic planting baskets, perforated baskets that will allow the roots to develop properly. There are several models of baskets for aquatic plants: round, oval, .... and even... floating! Also discover our floating baskets for aquatic plants by clicking here.
For aquatic plants that you want to see grow and bloom, do not choose baskets that are too small. They must be drilled and perforated. We recommend adding a burlap or felt for plants such as a cloth liner from VELDA. As a finishing coat on aquatic plants, you can use CLINOPTI.
