Photosynthetic bacteria:
Generate substances that promote the growth of microorganisms, mainly heterotrophic bacteria. During transformation, they produce valuable substances from organic waste and undesirable substances present in water.
Photosynthetic bacteria compete with algae for nutrients and natural light. In algae, light is absorbed by chlorophyll, just as in normal plants. In the case of photosynthetic bacteria, this takes place in the cells themselves. As an added bonus, they thus reduce the proliferation of algae.

Lactic bacteria:
Smother pathogens and other unwanted microorganisms, and promote rapid decomposition of organic matter (waste).
