Dual Action Photocatalytic UV Sterilizers
New range of AS-UV Synergy sterilizers presents a major technological advance, based on the synergy between UV radiation and an advanced oxidation process: photocatalysis.
In all traditional UV sterilizers, the potential for destroying germs and pathogens is limited by the reduced ability of UV rays to penetrate through the various shells, cysts and other protective membranes of these organisms. To counter this phenomenon and increase the efficiency of our sterilizers, the inner surface of the stainless steel reactor of the AS-UV Synergy is composed of a photocatalytic nano-layer (TiO2). Activated by UV rays, this catalyst will cause hyper-oxidation leading to the destruction of the protective structures of pathogens, thus considerably increasing the biocidal effectiveness of UV radiation.
Other advantages of the advanced oxidation process:
- The hydroxide radicals (OH?) generated by the activation of the catalyst are twice as oxidizing as chlorine, without harmful effects on health!
- The hyper-oxygenation caused by photocatalysis leads to a beneficial acceleration of the nitrogen cycle.
- In swimming pools, chlorine odors are reduced thanks to the degradation of chloramines.
- Photocatalysis slows down the formation of tartar on the quartz sheath.
- Opposite inlet and outlet for reduced pressure drop
- Possibility of orienting the entrance to the left or to the right
- Integrated wall fixings
- Display of the number of days of operation of the lamp
- Audible warning when the lamp needs to be replaced
