Clean and healthy water
Plant or food residues and metabolic products affect the quality of aquarium water. Good quality water is essential for healthy fish and plants in the aquarium. It can be obtained by different filters and different filter media. Filters suck in aquarium water and extract impurities and other waste from the water through the filter media.

This kit consists of round foam inserts for CristalProfi e filter baskets. These inserts contain in the center a bag with a special filter medium. The main stream of water from the filter passes through the foam on the outside and a slower, smaller stream of water passes through the center filter bag. In this way, the special filter media can bind problematic substances such as nitrites, nitrates and phosphates perfectly and extract them from the water. Water tests will make it very easy to determine when the kit needs to be replaced.

Nitrite (NO2) is a poison for the blood of aquarium fish, which can lead to their death from 0.4 mg/l.
Nitrate (NO3) is not toxic, but from 20 g/l it acts as a nutrient and stimulates the growth of all algae species (except diatoms).
Phosphate (PO4) is not toxic either, but from 0.3 mg/l it already stimulates the growth of all algae species (except diatoms).
