Thanks to the venturi installed on the device, air is sucked from the outside into the space between the UV-C lamp and the quartz sheath. The special UV-C lamp generates 254 nm and 185 nm radiation. The 185 nm radiation converts the available oxygen into ozone. The ozone produced (max. 0.6 g / h) is mixed with water through the venturi to carry out its disinfection / oxidation work. Inside the UV-C chamber, the residual ozone production will be converted by the 254 nm UV-C radiation into OH- radicals (the advanced oxidation process) which have an even stronger oxidizing power than ozone.
