To prevent this from happening in your home, you must therefore choose an aquarium from the start that will be suitable and ideal for the life and well-being of your fish. You should know that goldfish are peaceful fish that can live with many other species by cohabiting peacefully. A goldfish placed in an aquarium that is too small runs the risk, as it grows, of being affected by dwarfism, that is to say that it will grow much less than normal, or even stop growing at all. It is also possible to place them in smaller aquariums, but for a limited time then, not for their entire life.

However, if you decide to go for an aquarium of at least 200L or more while having one or few goldfish, you will have the possibility of mixing them with a lot of other species with which they can cohabit without any problem.

On the other hand, if you want to place them in a smaller aquarium (as said before), this is possible, but they cannot stay there all their lives or risk being in poor health, however if you place them -there for a short time only this is possible, but we do not recommend that you go below 150 liters +-.
