A micro-station compressor is usually placed inside your garage, or in an area less susceptible to rain. Most compressors are rain resistant but it is advisable to protect them a little bit.
This compressor should ideally be placed above the water level of your micro-treatment plant. If you have no choice and the air pump (compressor) must be placed below the water level, it is essential to provide a non-return so that the pump does not suck in water if it is cut (principle of communicating vessels).
