Combien de poissons dans un aquarium biOrb ?

How many fish in a biOrb aquarium?

Do you have a biOrb aquarium where you plan to buy one and wonder how many fish will be able to live in it? So, this guide is here for that. We will see together the number of fish that you can place, according to the biOrb model.

There are different ranges of biOrb aquariums, each in a different shape and divided into several sizes listed below:

15L / 30L / 35L / 45L / 60L / 105L.

The species and the quantities of fish that you can integrate into the aquarium will vary, depending on the volume of the latter, the greater the volume, the greater the quantity of possible fish will be. The fish presented for aquariums of small volumes can of course be introduced into aquariums of larger sizes, their maximum quantity evolving with the size of the aquarium. You should obviously not mix all the species present below without a fairly large volume or if you are not sure of the possibility of peaceful cohabitation.

15 Liter biOrb :

For a 15L aquarium, the choice of animals that can be placed is quite limited, because fish species cannot live with sufficient well-being in such a small volume, it is nevertheless possible to integrate it some species of shrimp.

  • A few species of shrimp can fit quite easily into an aquarium of this size. In particular the Neocaridina of the family of the same name which is composed of several species and which therefore exists in several different colors. Since these animals are gregarious (living in groups), this adds life to your little biOrb.

These are the only animals that can live in a 15L aquarium in small quantities, without their well-being and therefore their health being affected. For an aquarium of this size it will generally be advisable to place only aquatic plants for decorative purposes rather than animal species (except small shrimp of course).

    biOrb of 30 and 35 Liters :

For a 30L/35L aquarium this time the amount and variety of species that can be present will be slightly greater. Here are some species that could acclimatize in a 30L/35L aquarium.

    • The Betta Splendens, better known as the fighting fish, is a popular fish thanks to its many different colors and whose male is very territorial, which can live in pairs in a 30L/35L aquarium provided that the parameters of the water are checked regularly and that the aquarium in question is cleaned regularly. Be careful though, the betta is not a fish that can be placed with any other species of fish and especially not two betta males together!

    • The Killies, which are a family of fish divided into several subspecies and are quite colorful and lively fish that can live with three inhabitants for 30 or 35L. There are many species, very colorful in general and sometimes showing mottled patterns along the body.

    • Some species of exotic loaches from the sewellia or balitoridae family to add life to the bottom of the aquarium without disturbing the other species living in it. They live alone or in small groups, depending on the species.

      45 Liter biOrb:

As for a 45L aquarium, the capacity in number and in species increases a little more, offering you more possibilities of varieties in the aquarium, here are some of them:

      • One or more members of the Corydoras family could be a nice addition to your biOrb bubble, it is actually a collection of dwarf catfish species. They can mostly live in groups of 2-3 individuals for this volume.

      • The guppy, well-known fish in aquariums, are fish that exist in a multitude of different colors and which have for some, a magnificent veil with various and varied patterns. These fish must live in small groups of at least 3-4 (ideally to increase, depending on the volume of the basin).

      • The different species of tetraodon are small fish that have the particularity of being able to "inflate" when they are afraid, they are in fact from the family of puffer fish. You are therefore in theory not supposed to see them inflate, but they are still beautiful little fish for your biOrb, depending on the species chosen, they can live alone or up to three individuals.

      60 Liter biOrb:

      • Small sized Gourami are very calm fish that particularly like to blend in with plants, which makes them fit particularly well into the many possible scenes in a biOrb aquarium.

      • Rasbora are small schooling fish that like to live on the surface and are not very concerned about other species. They will bring life and movement to your aquarium.

      • The Ramirezi are small colorful fish, living in pairs and particularly appreciating vegetation and hiding places allowing them to live in peace. They exist in many colors.

      105 Liter biOrb:

      • Certain species of barbs, which are small striped fish that can flourish in small schools, can perfectly adapt to a 105L aquarium, in groups of 5-6.
      • The Zebra Danios, commonly called zebrafish, is a fairly sober, but very lively and active fish that lives in a school of ten individuals for a hundred liters.

      • Some neon (or blue neon) tetras are very well-known small fish, if not the best known in aquariums and even by people totally new to the industry. These are fish that need to be placed in groups of at least 10 individuals to be happy in your aquarium.

Here, with these few suggestions you should now have some ideas on which fish or at least what kind of species would be suitable for your biOrb, depending on its size. But don't forget that there are of course many other species of fish and even animals (such as shrimp) that could fit in some of the existing volumes in the biOrb aquarium range.
