Corten steel, also called weather resistant steel, is a metal alloy made of iron, to which copper, silicon, nickel and chromium have been added. Corten steel is a type of strong steel that has the property of being covered with a protective layer of rust when exposed to the outside air. This layer of natural solid rust is the protection against further corrosion. Corten steel is characterized by its orange-brown rust color and longevity.

• The products are delivered unoxidized
• Products should be unpacked immediately after delivery, so that any moisture between the packaging and the product is not trapped. This can cause rust and uneven spots.

Planting Tips:

• The bottom with a layer of Ø35 mm sorting pebbles
• Do not use an overflow pipe (no water should remain in the corten planter)
• For this a water-permeable anti-root cloth is desirable
• Recommended soil suitable for this type of planting
